Ordre Etern

(Màgia Roja / ES)

Thursday 12 14:00h - 14:45h
Sónar by DaySonarComplex - LIVE
Monolithic noise
Ordre Etern is the most recent project by Qa'a’s Victor Hurtado and Yarei Molina, together with Ignacio Lois from the Banda d'Improvisadors de Barcelona, whose material is currently in the recording phase, which we will be able to enjoy for virtually the first time at Sónar by Day. Their creation of modified drums, loud guitars and Soviet synthesizers leads to a ritualistic, mechanical and desolate sound, where voice and bass provide the only melodies. Hurtado (also known as solo artist Huan) and Molina have just released their last ever work as Qa'a, a posthumous triple LP, "Sang", which has received rave reviews, including plaudits from the illustrious Julian Cope. In fact, Molina and Hurtado’s connections with other musicians are a fundamental part of their world: in addition to the admiration of Cope, they have collaborated with Einstürzende Neubauten’s Jochen Arbeit, and Steve Stapleton from Nurse With Wound, among others.
