Travels and textures
Now residing in Barcelona, Rayo-60 is a project by San Sebastian’s Ander Agudo. The Rayo-60 of today was heavily influenced by a trip to the Antipodes, spending several months living abroad. Album “Compases de Espera” was born from those experiences and is an ambient piece, wrapped in multiple textures that invite the listener to close their eyes and let go. Agudo created the album during a process of personal rediscovery, where various techniques and available time were limited. Ray-60’s music therefore circumvents established methods in order to focus on his ability to evoke emotion via songs based on feedback noise, drones, the power of repetition, sound manipulation and sampling.

Agudo’s current artistic notoriety comes from working in the field of soundtracks, theatre and dance sound design and in the creation of atmospheric music for documentaries and social audiovisual environments. In 2012 he was involved with the band Fugazi in mastering the "Fugazi Live Series" project in New York, where he also worked as an assistant in The Magic Shop studio in 2005. He has collaborated on material for NBC, National Geographic, HBO and other international clients across 5 continents.
